This ve that tekil, these ve those ise coguldur. This ile these konusan kisiye yakin, hatta belki de onun avucunda bulunan esyalari gosterir. That ile those ise, konusan kisiden uzakta olan nesneleri belirtir. What is this? (Bu nedir?) ya da What is that? (O nedir?) sorularina It is a………ile baslayan cumle ile cevap verilir.
Ornegin;
What is this? – Bu nedir?
It is a pencil. – Bu bir kalemdir.
What are these? (Bunlar nedir?) ya da What are those? (onlar nedir?) sorularina ise They are…….ile baslayan cumle ile cevap verilir.
